The UTX Stable FS, although similar to the Stable 80 and 120, has a medially placed high strength, low weight cord. Together, this helps the orthosis to control a valgus unstable knee.
Developed over a number of years utilising a sound biomechanical base, the Ambroise product range is now available in the UK through Steeper.
Incorporating lightweight and highly functional orthoses for both upper and lower extremity applications, Ambroise has created a truly unique and innovative product range offering a high degree of comfort for the user.
The UTX Swing FS is the only orthosis currently available to allow the wearer a more natural walk. The knee joint of the UTX Swing FS is locked during the standing and during the stance phase of walking. The knee joint unlocks at the beginning of the swing phase and automatically locks when the knee is in full extension.
The UTX Stable 80/120 is locked in the standing and walking position, which is comparable to the conventional bracing systems. The active spring controlled planta flexion ankle joint causes a more smooth and natural ankle movement during walking.
The UTX Swing 80/120 knee orthosis unlocks when the ankle arrives in the correct dorsal flexion combined with the operation of the knee extension. The ankle joint has a cable which runs inside the tube to an unlocking device at the knee. Together with its active spring controlled planta flexion ankle joint causes a more smooth and natural ankle movement during walking.
The Wilmer® Elbow Orthosis is for patients suffering from a disfunctioning elbow paralysed arm, most commonly seen with a Brachial Plexus injury.
The basic functions of the Wilmer® Carrying Orthosis are the suppression of oedema by horizontal positioning of the forearm and the neutralisation of a shoulder subluxation. It is a static orthosis so the controllability need not be considered. The Wilmer® Carrying Orthosis acts like a balanced arm with the weight of the forearm forcing the weight of the upper arm upwards thereby neutralising a shoulder subluxation.
The Ambroise Dynamic Wrist Orthosis been developed for the support of a drop hand, for treatment of palmar flexion contractures and for the suppression of palmar flexion spasticity.
