Steeper sponsors charity event

An annual duck race organised by staff, patients and friends of the Mobility Centre at Nottingham City Hospital was sponsored by Steeper recently. The event, which involved 1200 toy ducks racing along the River Leen in Papplewick , raised over £2000 for the centre’s support group, the Midland’s Association for Amputees and Friends (MAAF). The group supports amputees before and after amputation, both in the centre and their homes and we were delighted to sponsor this event which meant that all monies raised went directly to the charity. Congratulations to Laura Hillas, a Prosthetist at the Mobility centre, who’s duck came in first winning Laura a cash prize and a magnum of champagne!
